In “Divas Divine”, Helena Hettema, FNB Vita Theatre Awards and SA Music Awards nominee, takes us on a musical journey to experience the pathos, tragedy and humour in the lives of some of the world’s greatest divas of a song like Billie Holiday, Joan Baez, Janis Joplin, Nina Simone and Miriam Makeba, amongst others. On this CD and in the show “Divas Divine” which she conceived and wrote the script. Helena provides a glimpse with voice clips behind the scenes and revealing the private lives of the great divas often contrary to their public image.
